Gophers Fall Short Again
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Minnesota Gophers fell behind early and despite rallying, just couldn't get over the hump in a 78-72 loss at Ohio State.
It's the fourth straight loss for the Gophers. The Buckeyes shot 50-percent from the field and made 23 of 30 free throws, improving its record to 13-8, 3-5 in the Big Ten.
Nate Mason finally found his scoring touch with 21 points, Akeem Springs added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Minnesota falls to 15-6, 3-5 on the season.
Trailing by 17 late in the first half, Minnesota closed out the half on a 12-0 run to trail 40-35.
