Carlie Wagner had 31 points, Gadiva Hubbard a career-high 26 and Kenisha Bell 21. Hubbard shot 9-for-14 from the field, including 5-for-9 from 3-point range. Jessie Edwards had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Bell added eight rebounds to her scoring, and Joanna Hedstrom had eight points and nine rebounds.

The Gophers began to pull away after a close first quarter. Their 56 first-half points and their 111 total were both season highs.

Minnesota shot 47.7 percent from the field to keep pace with the Titans’ (3-5) 48.0 percent. Each team scored significant points from outside the arc, with the Gophers connecting on a season-high 13 3-pointers and the Titans making 16.

The Gophers drew 20 fouls and shot 16-of-20 from the free throw line while limiting Detroit Mercy to six free throw attempts.

Anja Marinkovic made seven triples and scored 29 points to lead the Titans. Rosanna Reynolds added 20.
