MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota junior forward Jordan Murphy has repeated as Big Ten Player of the Week.

The conference announced the honor Monday. It's the third time Murphy has won the honor in his career.

The 6-foot-6 San Antonio, Texas, native recorded double-doubles in each of the Gophers' three wins last week. He scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds while adding three blocks and two assists at Providence in the Gavitt Tipoff Games. Two days later Murphy scored 18 points and posted 11 rebounds in Minnesota's 107-81 win over Niagara.

On Sunday night, Murphy had 23 points — 17 in the second half — and 11 rebounds as Minnesota cruised past Western Carolina. He also had a career performance at the free-throw line, going 15-for-19.
