EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Linebacker Chad Greenway has been listed as doubtful by the Minnesota Vikings to play Sunday, with his broken ribs still healing.

Greenway took part in a limited portion of practice Friday, for the first time since the injury forced him out of the Sept. 21 game at New Orleans.

Greenway says he's feeling "better and better every day," but coach Mike Zimmer said he'd probably decide by Saturday whether the ninth-year veteran will suit up Sunday. Zimmer said if Greenway were to play he would be used only in certain situations. Gerald Hodges has been starting in his place.

Free safety Harrison Smith was listed as questionable with a sprained left ankle, but he's expected to be in the lineup against the Lions.
