A news release issued Monday says Nicollet County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a black Cadillac driving erratically while traveling west on Hwy. 14 in Nicolette County on December 8. The person who reported the vehicle also said the male driver flashed a gun as the vehicle passed the reporting party.

Officials say the complainant followed the vehicle to give law enforcement a description and location. The vehicle was eventually stopped by a Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy, Nicollet County Sheriff’s Deputy and New Ulm Police Officer.

Authorities identified the man and obtained his statement. Nicollet County Sheriff David Lange says the suspect's name will not be released until formal charges are filed.
