Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Snowfall reports are still coming in but it appears the Twin Cities area felt the brunt of the first major winter storm of the season to hit southern Minnesota.

The National Weather Service is reporting that some areas in the Twin Cities have reported about a foot of snow accumulation since the storm system arrived last night. The snowfall totals in the Rochester area have mainly been in the 5 to 7-inch range. The National Weather Service is reporting the unofficial total at the Rochester Airport was 6.8 inches.  4.4 inches of the total fell before midnight and set a new snowfall record for November 26th in Rochester. 

There is a report of 8 inches of snow at Wabasha and Utica earlier reported receiving about 7.5 inches of accumulation.
