On Thursday morning, the 52 senior nominees for the Pro Football Hall of Fame were announced. The list, which had NFL names like Ed 'Too Tall' Jones, Steve Tasker, and Don Meredith, featured two former Vikings greats who haven't received that fateful call from Canton. Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor members Chuck Foreman and Jim Marshall were on that list and are now eligible for induction.

Several More Rounds Of Voting To Go

While the two former Vikings have made the list of 52, there are more rounds of voting to go before the finalists are announced for enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

According to the Minnesota Vikings official team website, "Members of the Seniors Blue-Ribbon Committee, who also serve on the full Hall of Fame Selection Committee, will reduce the list of 52 candidates to 25, then again to nine, in balloting that will occur over the next several weeks. They will then meet virtually to discuss those nine Semifinalists and will choose three Finalists for the Class of 2026."

Both Had Arguably Hall Of Fame Worthy Careers

Jim Marshall, when he hung up his pads after a 19-year career with the Minnesota Vikings, had set an NFL record with 29 fumble recoveries, and maybe one of the most infamous moments in sports history, returning a fumble the wrong way, ending up in a safety. Marshall also set a record for consecutive games played with the Vikings, with 270. Marshall passed away this summer at the age of 87.

Chuck Foreman changed the running back position as to how it was utilized with his ability to not only run the ball, but also his ability to catch passes thrown his way. Foreman was the "1973 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and earned Pro Bowl honors in each of his first five seasons. He totaled 5,950 yards and 53 touchdowns on the ground and added 350 receptions for 3,156 yards and 23 more scores through the air" according to his Minnesota Vikings biography.

Foreman made his feelings known about being selected to the list of 52 on X this morning.

Beautiful Photos From Clemens Gardens

This weekend was a great one to get out and do something fun. I wanted to destress, so I drove over to Clemens Gardens for a nice stroll through the gardens. What a beautiful place it is. There are flowers everywhere, as well as fountains and statues. These photos only capture part of what's available to see, but in case you haven't had a chance to visit, now is a great time to view them, as everything is in full bloom. Take a look at some beautiful photos and then make a plan to take your own trip. All of your senses will thank you.
