Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A line of storms that crossed southern Minnesota Tuesday dumped heavy rain and produced some funnel clouds.

The National Weather Service received reports of several funnel clouds in south central Minnesota, including three touchdowns.There were reports of scattered damage.

Heavy rain was also reported with 2 - 4 inches in the south central part of the state, leaving several roads and numerous farm fields flooded.

Totals in Olmsted County and elsewhere in the southeastern corner of the state were generally in the 1-2 inch range.

The total at the Rochester airport was just over an inch. That raised the city’s monthly total to 3.7 inches, about an inch and a half above normal.  So far this month, rain has been measured at the airport on eight of the first 14 days.  

Dry weather is expected through Saturday.
