A popular Minnesota film festival will be rolling out the red carpet for some Hollywood A-listers next month.

Now in its 15th year, the Twin Cities Film Festival will showcase over 140 films from October 17th to October 26th. This year’s event will be hybrid, featuring a mix of online streaming and in-person screenings, along with several live events, including appearances by big-name Hollywood stars.

Minnesota Talent in the Spotlight

The festival highlights Minnesota’s growing influence in the film industry. Nearly 40% of the films being screened were either shot in Minnesota or feature talent from the state, both in front of and behind the camera.

Noteworthy Events and Special Guests

Among the many events taking place during the nine-day festival, two stand out due to the notable guests in attendance.

On October 21st, the festival will showcase Magpie, a psychological noir thriller conceived, produced by, and starring actress Daisy Ridley. Ridley will be present for the screening and will receive the festival's Indie Vision Award.

Josh Duhamel, a North Dakota native and passionate Minnesota Vikings fan, will also be a special guest. He will receive the festival’s NorthStar Award and participate in an "In Conversation" event.

Ticket Information

Tickets for individual festival screenings range from $10 to $13, while tickets for special events are priced at $25. Festival passes, which grant access to multiple events and screenings, range from $55 to $125.
