
Honkers Add Another Pair

(Rochester, MN)-- The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of Brady Childs and Casey Quinlan from Neosho County Community College for the 2014 Northwoods League Season.
Childs is a 5-foot-11, 210-pound freshman catcher from Elkhorn, NE. He is currently hitting .600 with a .800 slugging percentage for the 5-1 Panthers. Childs has started 3 games behind the plate and has yet to commit an error.
A graduate of Blue Valley Southwest HS, Childs was awarded All-Conference Honors as a sophomore, junior and senior. His senior team won the 2013 regional championship.
Quinlan is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound freshman left-handed pitcher from Fargo, ND. He’s made 1 start on the season going 5.2 innings, allowing only 2 runs, 1of them earned, and striking out 3 in a 1-2 loss to Iowa Central on Feb. 16th.
Quinlan graduated from Davies High School where he was named the 2013 Player of the Year for the state of North Dakota and Conference Player of the Year. He was a 3-time All-Conference and 2-time All-State selection and holds 8 pitching records at his high school.
The Rochester Honkers 21st season begins on May 27th against the Waterloo Bucks at Mayo Field.
