Honkers Add Another Pair

(Rochester, MN)-- The Rochester Honkers Baseball Club announced today the signing of Brady Childs and Casey Quinlan from Neosho County Community College for the 2014 Northwoods League Season.

Childs is a 5-foot-11, 210-pound freshman catcher from Elkhorn, NE.  He is currently hitting .600 with a .800 slugging percentage for the 5-1 Panthers.  Childs has started 3 games behind the plate and has yet to commit an error.

A graduate of Blue Valley Southwest HS, Childs was awarded All-Conference Honors as a sophomore, junior and senior.  His senior team won the 2013 regional championship.

Quinlan is a 5-foot-10, 170-pound freshman left-handed pitcher from Fargo, ND.  He’s made 1 start on the season going 5.2 innings, allowing only 2 runs, 1of them earned, and striking out 3 in a 1-2 loss to Iowa Central on Feb. 16^th.

Quinlan graduated from Davies High School where he was named the 2013 Player of the Year for the state of North Dakota and Conference Player of the Year.  He was a 3-time All-Conference and 2-time All-State selection and holds 8 pitching records at his high school.

The Rochester Honkers 21st season begins on May 27^th against the Waterloo Bucks at Mayo Field.
