The Rochester Honkers rebounded from a couple big losses with a 5-2 win Friday night in St. Cloud.

After giving up 12 and 15 runs in it's two previous games, the Honkers pitchers were able to hold the Rox to a season low 2 runs, allowing just seven hits.  

Area kids continued to hit well for Rochester. Jordan Hart from Lyle drove in the Honker's first run and Rochester native Micael Michalak tripled in the second inning, scoring on a three-run home run by newly acquired second baseman Ethan Ibarra from St. Cloud State.

The Honkers play Thunder Bay tonight in Marshall, Minnesota.  Thunder Bay's field is not playable this spring.

The Rochester Royals amateur team came up with 4 runs in the bottom of the ninth to edge the Chaseburg Coon Valley Blues 8-7 Friday night at Mayo Field.

Tim Oesterlin led the offense, getting 3 hits and two RBI's.

The Royals host Champlin tonight at Mayo field.  7:30 start time
