Hurts Donut Company is Coming to Rochester
Heads up, Hurts Donut Company is coming to Rochester! They teased us on their Facebook page but if you read between the lines, you will see that this could be a sign of even more good-tasting treats for our town.
If you've never had their delectable goodies, you are in for an amazing treat. Hurts Donut is a very popular donut shop throughout the country and is a go-to destination. I know, because it was one of our MUST-VISIT spots when we went on vacation in Branson, Missouri. My kids had a really tough time trying to figure out what one donut they should pick because they all just looked scrumptious.
Here's how it is all going to work in the "test run" in Rochester. The Emergency Donut Vehicle is going to be in town on Saturday, September 19th at 4010 Maine Ave. SE between 9am and 11am. We've got a two-hour window people so tell Google right now to add that in your calendar so nothing else gets scheduled. You MUST pre-order if you want to get any donuts though. You must call 319-504-5611 now or up until September 18th to get your order in. I'm hearing that the phone is busy quite often but if no one answers, don't start freaking out, just leave a message and when they have a second, they will call you back.
THE ROCHESTER LINEUP:
- Hurts Dozens - a box of our 12 most popular donuts!
- ENORMOUS Apple Fritters
- GIGANTIC Cinnamon Rolls
- FAMOUS Maple Bacon Bars
Because we are in the middle of a pandemic and social distancing is a thing right now, they are asking that you stay in your vehicle and drive right up to the truck when it is your turn, just like a drive-through. The line might be long though, so just be prepared and don't come HANGRY. No one wants a HANGRY person waiting in line.
