35-Year-Old Woman Transporting Two Children Injured in Hwy. 14 Collision Near Byron

Byron, MN (KROC-AM News)- A southern Minnesota woman was injured in a collision along Hwy. 14 at the Dodge-Olmsted County line.

Two children were riding with her. 

The State Patrol, which responded to the crash shortly after 2:30 Monday afternoon, says a car and SUV were involved in the crash.

Medford Woman Transporting Two Children Injured in Collision at Hwy. 14 Intersection West of Byron

The collision occurred at the four-lane highway’s intersection with 280th Ave. 

The car was traveling west on Hwy. 14 and the SUV was southbound on 280th Ave. when the vehicles collided in the intersection, the state crash report says. 

35-year-old Kali Lorray Brown of Medford was identified as the car driver. The State Patrol says she was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Two children riding with her, described as a four-year-old boy and seven-year-old girl, were not hurt, according to the State Patrol. 

SUV Driver and Passenger Avoid Injuries

57-year-old Shelley Davis Hodge of Kasson was identified as the driver of the SUV. Hodge and her passenger, a 31-year-old Minneapolis woman, were not hurt, the State Patrol says.

All five occupants were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, according to the state crash report. 

Dodge County Ambulance and the Kasson Fire Department also responded to the two-vehicle crash.
