
32-Year-Old Hospitalized After Car Hydroplanes, Rolls on I-35 in Southern Minnesota

Owatonna, MN (KROC-AM News)- A rollover crash sent a motorist to the hospital in southern Minnesota Friday morning.

The State Patrol says the crash occurred during a heavy rainfall. One vehicle was involved and the driver was the only person in it.
The crash happened on Interstate 35 in Steele County shortly after 6:15 a.m.
Car Hydroplanes Then Rolls on I-35 Near Owatonna, Driver Taken to Hospital
A car traveling north on the freeway rolled and entered the ditch after hydroplaning about three miles south of the I-35/Hwy. 14 interchange, according to the state crash report.
32-year-old Hector Guerrero of New Richland was identified as the driver. The State Patrol says he suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was brought to a hospital in Owatonna for further care.
Guerrero was buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the state crash report indicates.
The Steele County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the single-vehicle rollover crash.
