
61-Year-Old Pine Island Woman Injured in Collision at Byron Intersection
Byron, MN (KROC-AM News)- A southeast Minnesota woman was injured in a crash at an intersection in Byron.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision. The State Patrol responded to the scene shortly before 8:30 Monday night.

Pickup and Bronco Collide at Intersection of County Rd. 5 and Hwy. 14 in Byron
A Ford Bronco and a pickup collided at the intersection of Hwy. 14 and Olmsted County Rd. 5.
The pickup was traveling east on Hwy. 14 and the Bronco was northbound on Country Rd. 5 when the vehicles collided, according to the state crash report.
61-year-old Tyra Ann Witt of Pine Island was identified as the Bronco driver. She was brought to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says.
Passenger and Driver Unharmed
63-year-old Lawrence Vincent Witt was riding in the Bronco.
The State Patrol says the Pine Island man and the pickup driver, identified as 74-year-old Dale Ardean Waltz of Rochester, escaped the crash without injuries.
All three occupants were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash. The state crash report does not say the status of the traffic light at the intersection during the collision.

Byron Fire and First Responders, the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the two-vehicle crash.
