Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol responded to a couple injury crashes in the region today.

The first was reported just before 8:30 this morning in southwestern Olmsted County where a semi-truck and a car collided at a rural intersection. The State Patrol says 38-year-old Matthew Knudson of Owatonna was traveling east on Highway 30 when his car collided with the semi-truck heading north on Olmsted County Road 3 near Rock Dell. Knudson was transported to St. Mary's hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the California man driving the truck was not hurt.

A woman and a young girl from Cedar Rapids Iowa suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a crash that was reported about 11:45 this morning on Highway 63 in Spring Valley. The State Patrol says 8-year-old Courtney Crow was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Meredeth Crow that collided with a pickup truck driven by a Spring Valley teenager. Both vehicles were traveling south when the crash occurred. The 16-year-old pickup driver and his two passengers, a 14-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl, were not hurt.

The State Patrol also reported a critical injury crash involving a motorcyclist that occurred Sunday evening in Faribault County. The crash report says 27-year-old John Burke of Lakota, Iowa was airlifted to St. Mary's hospital after his motorcycle left a rural highway and struck a field approach shortly after 7 PM.
