Claremont Woman & Rochester Man Injured in Separate Crashes in Southeast Minnesota Saturday

Undated (KROC-AM News)- A pair of crashes on southeast Minnesota highways resulted in injuries for two people on Saturday.

The State Patrol responded to the first crash shortly after 3:45 p.m. and was called to the second crash shortly before 8 p.m.

One crash occurred in Dodge County and the other happened in Rochester. The first crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 14 and Dodge County Rd. 15 just east of Kasson.

SUV's Collide at Hwy. 14 Intersection in Dodge County

A Buick SUV, heading south on County Rd. 15, and Ford SUV that was eastbound on Hwy. 14 collided in the intersection, the state crash report says. 

50-year-old Sarah Anne Zrucky of Claremont was riding in the Ford. She was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says. 

The driver of the Ford, identified as 55-year-old Douglas Myron Masso of Claremont and the Buick driver, described as a 16-year-old girl were not hurt, the State Patrol indicates.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, Kasson Police Department, Kasson Fire Department and Kasson Ambulance also responded to the two-vehicle collision. 

Rochester Man Injured After Striking Median Wall on Hwy. 52

Saturday evening’s crash occurred on Hwy. 52 in Rochester.

A car heading south on the freeway smashed into the concrete median wall near the 2nd St. SW interchange, the state crash report says. 

32-year-old Adbiazis Ahmed Hassan was identified as the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle.

He was taken to nearby St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says. Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the single-vehicle crash.

Alcohol was not involved in either crash and everyone was buckled up, according to the State Patrol.
