
Trucker Taken To Hospital After Smashing Into Van Parked on I-90
Lewiston, MN (KROC-AM News)- A truck driver was brought to a hospital after smashing into a van on Interstate 90 in southeast Minnesota.

Two people were in the van and the truck driver was the lone occupant of the semi.
The State Patrol responded to the two-vehicle crash shortly before 8:00 Wednesday evening.

Semi Slams into Van Parked on I-90 in Winona County, MN, Truck Driver Taken to Hospital
The crash occurred near the Rushford exit in Winona County. The westbound semi collided with the van, which was parked on the westbound shoulder, according to the state crash report.
28-year-old Juan Daniel Cabrera Lopez is listed in the report as the van driver. His passenger is identified as 29-year-old Christian F. Zhiminacela.

The man and woman from Minneapolis escaped the crash without injuries, the State Patrol says.
58-year-old Ricky Larry Harwood of Birch Run, MI was identified as the truck driver. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital in Winona for further care, according to the State Patrol.
Alcohol was not involved in the crash and all three people were wearing their seatbelts, the state crash report indicates.
The Lewiston Fire Department, Lewiston Police Department and Winona County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the two-vehicle crash.
