Police Describe Davidson's Condition at the Scene

According to the charges, Davidson was arrested on the night of November 22, 2025, after law enforcement officers responded to a rural intersection near Le Sueur following a call from a person who reported that his wife had jumped out of the vehicle and had been run over. When they arrived at the scene, the officers found Davidson near his vehicle and indicated that they detected the odor of alcoholic beverages coming from him and observed that he had slurred speech.

What Happened the Night of the Fatal Incident

The criminal complaint says Davidson told the officers that he and his wife had been drinking that evening and, while they were driving home, his wife "had gotten mad and started punching him" before jumping out of the moving pickup truck. His wife was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Blood Test Shows BAC Above .25

The court document states that field sobriety tests were performed at the scene, but Davidson refused to submit to a preliminary breath test for alcohol. Investigators then obtained a search warrant for a sample of his blood for testing. The criminal complaint says the test results measured his blood alcohol concentration at more than .25.

Davidson, who had a prior felony DWI conviction in 2007, is scheduled to be sentenced in December.
