Several times each year, police departments throughout Minnesota reach out to the public, hoping to identify suspects in a crime that has been committed.

They provide details on the crime, and there are usually surveillance photos, many of which are unfortunately very dark or grainy and hard to see. A lot of the time, the power of the public sharing information on social media helps authorities locate the suspects.

Recently, the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office shared a post on Facebook, but this was a lot different. This time, authorities know the name of the primary suspect and have several clear pictures of the violent crime that took place.

The concern is that while his accomplices have been taken into custody, he remains at large and could be headed anywhere in Minnesota or even out of the state to elude capture.
