Sad News for Coffee Lovers: Bear Paw Coffee in Byron, Minnesota Has Closed
A familiar spot in Southeast Minnesota to grab a cup of coffee has officially said goodbye. Bear Paw Coffee in Byron, Minnesota, just announced that it has served its final cup of coffee.
Byron's Beloved Bear Paw Coffee Closes For Good
Just a few days after it was announced that Pancheros and Pebble Spa in Rochester had closed, another business in Southeast Minnesota has let their fans know that they too have closed for good.
On Sunday night, a heartfelt post was shared on Facebook by Bear Paw Coffee. Unfortunately, this drive-thru coffee shop announced the sad news that it was now officially closed.
Friends and fans,
We're writing with great sadness to announce that today was our last day in business. Despite our valiant efforts, we have been unable to successfully find a buyer to take over Bear Paw. The reality is that we should have made this decision a long time ago, but we held on convincing ourselves "it will get better," and it just hasn't.
Bear Paw Coffee Explained The Reasons Behind The Decision To Close
Owning a small business in a small town is incredibly challenging, and in the recent years of declining economic trends, the ever-changing costs of goods, local sales trends/traffic, and high labor and tax costs, we simply cannot do it any more.
This decision was far from easy to make and in this time we ask for your understanding & support for our family as we navigate this change.
The Owners Continued The Post With Words Of Thankfulness and Being Grateful For Their Supporters
Our hearts break for our loyal customers, our incredible staff, and ourselves We are so, so grateful for those that have supported us over the years, referred others, attended our events, supported our fundraisers, and simply loved us and our products.
We feel sad and defeated, and also grateful and proud for having the vision and means to give this opportunity a try 3.5 years ago. We hope for the future of the community of Byron that other eager entrepreneurs are not hesitant to pursue a similar opportunity based off our experience, but rather take the leap and are able to be abundantly successful in a more viable business model than we were able to produce.
It's been a wild ride Byron. Thanks for the love and support of our little hut and amazing pack of staff
Please always continue to shop local anytime you can to keep our town & available businesses alive. Many businesses are barely hanging on these days.
With love and appreciation,
The Clark Family and the Byron Bear Paw Pack
