The Ants Didn’t March Tonight: Dave Matthews Band Mystic Lake Show Postponed
It was supposed to be a massive night under the stars at Minnesota’s newest outdoor music venue. Fans packed up their gear, hyped to see the legendary Dave Matthews Band hit the stage this evening at the brand-new Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee.
Unfortunately, the ants won't be marching tonight. There was no concert.

Storms rolling through the region have forced organizers to pull the plug on tonight's show, prioritizing safety over the music.

While the gorgeous new 19,000-seat outdoor venue operates as a "rain or shine" facility, severe weather in the area left them with no choice but to postpone.

The venue released an official statement on its social media channels on Tuesday evening alerting fans to the change:
"Due to ongoing inclement weather, we have made the difficult decision to postpone tonight’s Dave Matthews Band show. The new show will be on August 31 at 7:30pm. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date. Further details will be communicated to ticket holders via email."
If you had tickets for tonight's performance, hang onto them. All previously purchased tickets will be fully honored for the rescheduled August date. Organizers note that ticket holders should keep an eye on their inboxes for further details sent via email.
The postponement is a tough break for fans eager to check out the state-of-the-art facility, which just held its official Grand Opening party on Saturday, June 20th. The new venue, located right by Canterbury Park, has huge acts performing all summer.
