Giordano's Pizza Opening Second Minnesota Location Next Week

Giordano's, the famous Chicago-style pizza shop, is opening a second Minnesota location at the Mall of America with the grand opening set for next week. We've already got one in Richfield, but who can say no to more pizza?

What is Chicago-Style Pizza?

Real quick before we get to the grand opening details: What is Chicago-style pizza?

Skydeck Chicago explains the characteristic that makes it stand out from the rest,

"The most unique and recognizable element of Chicago pizza, deep-dish crust is at least an inch deep, allowing room for extra sauce and toppings."

Giordano's is an iconic spot for a classic slice of Chicago-style pizza. As the Mall of America writes, they're known for "their buttery crust, slow-baked layers, and signature cheese pull made from Wisconsin-crafted cheese created exclusively for the brand."

MOA announced that Giordano's would be opening in the mall back in October. Since then, they've been hard at work getting everything ready to go and now it's finally time to open.

They'll be on the third floor on the south side of MOA (so from the outside, the side with the Radisson Blu) near Macy's.

Their grand opening is Thursday, July 16th.

Also, this location will be a first for Giordano's, because it will be their first location with a self-serve kiosk. There will also be the usual full-service restaurant option and a grab-and-go option as well, according to KSTP.
