Every holiday season, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska puts together a huge light display. My husband and I went with my family last year and, it turns out, we ended up going to the last year.

But don't worry, they aren't totally doing away with the holiday light display, they're just changing it up a bit. The new holiday light display is called Northern Lights.

New Light Display at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum

There will still be plenty of lights and festivities during this event, but with a different twist.

In the Arboretums announcement about the new light display, they said the the new event "puts the trees in the spotlight while highlighting the beauty of Minnesota’s winter and nature's wonder."

"this elevated experience brings majestic oaks and towering pine canopies to life through professional light projection, radiant uplighting and synchronized sound."

Some of the new things to look forward to include 18 interactive experiences, glowing forests, an interactive shadow play, and lit up geometric gardens. This sounds like it'll be great for all ages. And don't worry, there's an indoor portion of the event, too if it's a super cold evening.
