Wabasha, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Lake City man was sentenced today for multiple child sexual abuse convictions that should keep him behind bars until he is nearly 75 years old.

43-year-old Matthew Raymond Rahn earlier entered into a plea agreement and admitted to three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was originally charged with 9 counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, 5 counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, and 4 counts of possession of child pornography.

According to the criminal complaints, Rahn was accused of frequently sexually abusing three young girls, beginning around 2014. The youngest victim was in the first grade when the abuse began. The court document says the criminal sexual conduct allegations surfaced while authorities were targeting Rahn in an investigation into the possession and dissemination of child pornography.

He was sentenced this morning in Wabasha County Court to consecutive sentences totaling 45 years in prison. He was given credit for 269 days he has already spent in jail and will be eligible for release from prison after serving two-thirds of the sentence, which equates to just under 30 years behind bars.
