According to Captain Weist, while officers were attempting to convince the suspect to surrender, they learned that a victim was inside an apartment located within the same building that houses the restaurant. The officers dealing with the suspect then used “less-than-lethal tools” to subdue him. Weist indicated that the man was taken into custody and then transported to the Lake City Hospital for evaluation.
