Dick Zeitler returned to the airwaves with AutoTech 101 Monday morning during the Rochester Today with Andy Brownell on KROC-AM.

Dick brings decades of experience as an automotive technician (mechanic) to the radio to share his expertise with KROC-AM listeners.

The hot topic on Monday's show was tires. If you are looking at tires that will need replacing soon, Dick recommends doing it soon. He says the best time to put new tires on a vehicle is just before the snow flies, which will give you the advantage of fresh tread for the winter season instead of the spring and summer when the roads are sure to be less treacherous.

We even learned how to tell how old a tire is by reading the numbers molded into the sidewall.  The last four digits of the serial number signify the week and the year it was manufactured.  For example: 5012 would be found on a tire made in mid-December 2012.
