Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man committed to the Minnesota Sex Offender Program 24 years ago is scheduled to begin his transition to community living in Rochester on Monday.

The Rochester Police Department has issued a community notification concerning 48-year-old Alexander Marl Martinelli. The notice states he is a Level 3 predatory offender with a history of sexually abusing underage male acquaintances.

Martinelli is being released from the sex offender program under a court order calling for his provisional discharge. The police department says he plans to live in a halfway house facility located on the Olmsted County Campus adjacent to the Federal Medical Center in southeast Rochester.
