Level 3 Sex Offender Returning to Rochester From Prison

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department has issued a Community Notification concerning a Level 3 predatory offender who is scheduled to be released from Stillwater State Prison on Wednesday.
The notification says 45-year-old Dontae Hampton will be moving into a halfway house on the county campus in the 2100 block of Campus Drive Southeast. Corrections officials say Hampton has a history of criminal sexual contact with known women. A fact sheet concerning Hampton indicates force and threats were used to gain compliance and he broke into one victim's home to gain access.
His criminal history includes a criminal sexual assault conviction in 2010 and felony convictions for failing to register as a predatory offender in 2014 and escaping from custody in 2017.
