Lewiston Man Hospitalized After Rural Minnesota Crash With Semi
Mankato, MN (KROC-AM News)- A crash involving a semi truck in south-central Minnesota sent a Lewiston man to the hospital Monday afternoon.
The State Patrol responded to a crash along Hwy. 83 about 25 miles southeast of Mankato in Waseca County. The collision was reported shortly before 1:30 p.m.
The state crash report indicates a Ram Van, driven by 35-year-old Ryan Neyers, was heading south on the two lane highway. The van and a northbound semi collided near a rural intersection.
Neyers was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries. The truck driver, identified as 34-year-old Francis Billmeier of Redwood Falls, MN, was not hurt.
Both drivers were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in causing the crash. Several agencies responded to the crash, including an air care helicopter.
