
Shooting Prompts Lockdown at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, MN (Update)
Austin, MN (KROC-AM News)- Police in Austin are investigating a shooting that left one man injured.

The Austin Police Department said officers responded to a firearms complaint in the area of 1110 4th Ave Northwest shortly before 10:20 a.m. Saturday. Responding officers arrived and found an adult male shooting victim who was able to speak with police.
Officers rendered aid to the victim before turning him over to firefighters and paramedics. The victim was transported from the scene by Mayo Clinic Ambulance. His condition is not available at this time.
Police say the shooting is under investigation, however officers did arrest a suspect, identified 34-year-old Denroy Ashan Jeffers of Albert Lea, in connection with the incident. The shooting is believed to have been an isolated domestic incident.
A Mayo Clinic spokesperson confirmed that Mayo Clinic Health System, which is less than a mile from the location of the reported shooting, was in a lockdown due to “a law enforcement situation in the community.”
