Lois Riess Pleads Guilty to Florida Murder, Sentenced to Life
Ft Myers, FL (KROC AM News) - A Blooming Prairie woman accused of killing her husband last year pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to another murder.
After she pleaded guilty, a judge in Florida sentenced 57-year-old Lois Riess to life in prison.
Riess admitted killing a woman in Ft. Myers Beach in April 2018 and stealing the victim’s car and money. At the time, Riess was on the run after the shooting death of her husband David in their Blooming Prairie home the month before.
Riess has been charged with 1st and 2nd-degree murder in that case. It’s unknown when she will be returned to Minnesota to face prosecution in that case.
