Rochester MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochesterfest organization will be going through another significant change in 2016.

Long time Rochesterfest Executive Director Carole Brown has announced she will be retiring early next year, but has agreed to remain in her position until her successor is chosen and will assist with the transition. Brown, who has been the Rochesterfest Executive Director for 24-years, said she also plans to remain active as a volunteer during the annual community-wide festival after stepping down from her day-to-day duties in the leadership position.

The Celebration of a City Board of Directors will be accepting applications for the Executive Director position through January 18th. The new Executive Director will be taking over an organization that underwent major changes in 2015 as Rochesterfest moved to a new permanent location at Soldiers Field Park.

The 2016 Rochesterfest is being chaired by Bob Nowicki and will be held next June 18th through the 26th. The theme will be “Rochesterfest: Fun for Everyone.”
