Lourdes Wins – Mayo Loses to Open Girl’s State Tennis Tourney

Lourdes advanced to the semi-finals, while Mayo lost today in the opening round matches of the 2015 Girls State High school Tennis Tournament.

The Eagles defeated Virginia 6-1 and will take on Blake Wednesday morning at 8 o’clock with the winner advancing to the Class A championship match Wednesday afternoon.

Mayo was beaten by second-seeded Eagan 4-3 in the Class AA quarterfinals this morning. Eagan is scheduled to face Prior Lake in the semi-finals Wednesday morning, while the Spartans went on to defeat Princeton 5-2 in the consolation bracket this afternoon.
