Nearly Pound of Cocaine Seized, 4 Arrested in SE MN Drug Bust
Faribault, MN (KROC-AM News) - Four people have been arrested in connection with a major drug bust in southeastern Minnesota.
Four Arrested in Multi-Month Cocaine Investigation
The Cannon River Drug and Violent Offender Task Force says the arrests were the result of a multimonth investigation into the distribution of cocaine. A news release says the investigation began this summer and led to the identification of three people allegedly involved in the distribution and the controlled purchases of drugs from them.
Task Force Also Seizes Cash and Six Firearms
According to a news release, several search warrants were executed in Faribault and Owatonna last Thursday and Wednesday of this week. The task force says the searches led to the seizure of nearly a pound of cocaine, approximately $15,000 in cash and six firearms.
Three Faribault Residents Face Drug Charges
Three of the suspects, who were all from Faribault, have been charged with either first- or second-degree drug sales. They have been identified as 46-year-old Taiwan McCain, 35-year-old Tanna Almen and 31-year-old Laura Serrano. The fourth person arrested, who was wanted on a warrant, was not identified in the news release.
