Man Dies While Swimming in Minnesota Lake
BIG LAKE, Minn. (AP) — The man who was pronounced dead after he was pulled from a Sherburne County lake has been identified.
Authorities say 52-year-old Paul Pohlkamp, of Monticello, was swimming near a boat on Lake Mitchell Friday when he became unresponsive in the water. Sherburne County sheriff's officials say Pohlkamp was wearing a life jacket at the time.
He was pronounced dead at the Big Lake public access after first responders tried to revive him. The death is under investigation.
