Man On Tractor Severely Injured in Minnesota Tree Clearing Mishap
Chisholm, MN (KROC-AM News)- A tree-clearing mishap on a rural Minnesota property sent a man to the hospital with serious injuries over the weekend.
First responders were dispatched to the report of a man being struck by a falling tree around 11 a.m. on Saturday.
A news release issued by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says the incident occurred at a recreational property about 10 miles north of Chisholm.
The victim, described as a 66-year-old man, was hit in the head by the tree. He was taken from the property to a nearby hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.
His name has not been released. The initial investigation indicates the man and members of his family were clearing the tree when it fell on the him.
The victim was seated on a tractor when the tree hit him, the news release says.
