Man Pulls Out Gun During New Year’s Party

A 36-year-old Rochester man was arrested early today after he allegedly pulled out a gun during an argument with his girlfriend while they were hosting a New Year’s gathering.  A spokesman says police officers responded to a report of a domestic assault around 3:30 this morning in the 5000 block of 25th avenue northwest.  They were told that the man had threatened his girlfriend with the gun, and threatened another man after he attempted to wrestle the gun away from him.  There were a number of people inside the residence, including some children,  but the man surrendered without further incident shortly after police arrived at the scene and were able to contact him.
