Massive Meth Bust Sends Minnesota Felon Back to Prison

Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News)- A federal felon from Minnesota is returning to prison following a massive meth bust.

A news release issued by the U.S. The Attorney's Office in Minnesota says the sentence also includes 10 years of supervised release. The sentencing of the Burnsville man is the result of a drug trafficking investigation. 

Federal court documents say law enforcement suspected 34-year-old John Paul Majerus II of coordinating methamphetamine sales while he was still in prison serving a sentence handed down as the result of a previous drug conviction. 

While still in custody, Majerus II coordinated a meth sale with an undercover DEA agent. 

Court documents say once he got out of prison, Majerus II worked with others to distribute meth out of a stash house in southeast Minneapolis that belonged to 34-year-old Sara Evenson. 

After several more undercover law enforcement meth buys, authorities executed a search warrant at the stash house and found approximately 30 pounds of meth hidden in the wall.

Majerus II was sentenced to 180 months in prison Tuesday. He pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine last November. 

Evenson pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute methamphetamine last month. Her sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
