Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - There is still time to check out the annual Christmas tours of the Mayowood mansion.

The event is organized by the History Center of Olmsted County as a fundraising event.

The tours not only give the public the opportunity to see some very artistic holiday settings and trees but more of the former home of Dr. Charlie Mayo that has undergone a huge and expensive makeover the last few years after Mayo Clinic assumed ownership.

Organizations, businesses, and individuals sponsor trees and other decorative settings that are now on display at the mansion.

Here's a video of what appears to be Dr. Mayo's den.

Check out the old organ and piano!

Pretty sure this was the master bedroom.  What a view!

The tours continue through Dec 17 and reservations are required. Tickets are available at the History Center (507) 282-9447. Prices are $22 for adults and $10 for children ages 5 - 12. There is no admission charge for children ages 4 and under.
