Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Motorists are being told to expect lane closures and traffic slowdowns along Highway 63 in the area south of Highway 52, beginning Monday.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says crews will be installing a cable median barrier and the work will impact traffic on southbound Highway 63. The project will require closing the left southbound lane, which is expected to result in traffic slowdowns, particularly during the afternoon commute.

A news release from MnDOT says there will not be any lane closures involving the northbound lanes. The project is scheduled to be completed in mid-October.
