It wasn't long ago, that we told you a new restaurant was going into one of Rochester's newest buildings. When I wrote that blog, I mentioned that there are going to be not one, not two, but THREE businesses housed in that space.

The building is located right off West Circle Drive on Sarah Place NW.

And now, we can officially share the news of one of the other businesses. I've been patiently waiting to share with you!

This is a business that's familiar to Rochester already. They have been taking care of the Rochester area for five years now and they are expanding!

Swoon Beauty Lounge will be opening in their new location in the very near future!

Not going to lie, I'm not sure which I'm more excited about - the fast and fresh food I'll actually be able to eat OR a beauty lounge where I can get my lashes done. I'll likely spend entirely too much time at both places, let's be real.

I got to chat with owner, Kayla Fjelsted. She told me a little about how Swoon came about.

She started swoon out of a room in her basement in 2017 as a side gig after dropping out of nursing school. Fast forward a few months and she took the leap and opened a small studio in Edina, MN.

She had many clients that would make the jaunt to Edina from Rochester to get lashes from her. After about a year at that location, Kayla and a Rochester native, Taya Mcgovern, started chatting about opening a location in Rochester.

The ladies made it happen and opened a Rochester location on Broadway. Now, five years later, they have outgrown that space and are pumped to be moving to their new location.

She says the new space will allow them to add even more employees to their incredible team as well as a much bigger service menu. They plan on adding even more lash, brow and an extensive skin menu.

This new space will also allow us to host educational trainings to other artists in the area. When looking for more advanced training, we found that the really good in-depth options were all out West, or online. We want to bring state of the art training to the Midwest and empower other artists to feel even more confident In their skillset." - Kayla

Their goal is to open late spring, early summer.

ICYMI, they also shared the news on their Instagram page.

As for the third business, we are still working on getting you those details.
