Minneapolis Police Investigating Homicide After 25-Year-Old Woman Found Dead
Minneapolis, MN (MinnesotaNow) – Minneapolis Police are investigating an apparent homicide after a 25-year-old woman was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound in South Minneapolis.
Officers from the 3rd Precinct responded around 12:30 p.m. on December 1 and discovered an unresponsive woman on the 3300 block of 10th Avenue South.
According to a press release from MPD, the family used cell phone location data to track her down after losing contact the previous night.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has confirmed the presence of at least one gunshot wound.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara expressed his condolences to the grieving family. “My heart aches for this family,” said Chief O’Hara. “The thought that a family member is murdered is unbearable. We ask anyone with information to immediately contact our investigators.”

Homicide detectives are actively piecing together the events leading up to the woman’s death.
The identity of the deceased along with the official cause and manner of death will be released later when confirmed.
