The Minnesota Associated Press is out with their latest high school football polls in each of the seven classes in the state.

For some reason the Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals can't move up despite knocking off then #7 rated Goodhue last week in Wildcats country.  Goodhue was taken completely out of the top ten with the 4 point loss (38-34).

The only loss Bethlehem Academy has suffered was an overtime thriller against now #2 rated Fillmore Central (26-20).

Sometimes I wonder if the mostly metro team of voters actually looks at these results.

Cardinals receiver Hudson Dillon leads the state in touchdown receptions with 10.  He is #2 in receptions with 41 and #3 in yards with 568.

Dillon is listed as 6'4, 195.  He is fun to watch on the basketball court because he always plays hard.  He also enjoys football the most.

Dillon would like to be the next Adam Thielen at Minnesota State Mankato.

He reminds me of him in the area of tenacity and catches nearly everything thrown in his area code.

Quarterback Elliott Viland is 89 of 139 (64%) with 1,276 yards, 16 touchdowns, 3 interceptions.  His quarterback rating is 123.1.

Viland is averaging 255.2 yards passing per game which is second in the state.

Viland's completions rank third and his touchdowns are fourth in the state.

Viland has repeatedly told us on the Faribault Coaches Show at Janna's Market Grille in downtown Faribault his favorite sport is football and he wants to play in college.

He also plays safety on defense and says he doesn't care what position he plays.

Viland is a very good athlete, wrestling in the winter.
