It's another impressive award for the biggest airport in Minnesota, which has once again been named the best airport in the entire continent of North America in 2025.

There's more good news if you're flying out of the Land of 10,000 Lakes: The 2025 Airport Satisfaction Survey from noted consumer research firm J.D. Power has once again ranked the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) near Bloomington as the Top Airport in the U.S. for Customer Satisfaction.

The latest ranking, which is based on thousands surveys from U.S. and Canadian travelers, ranked MSP first in the Mega Airport category for the second year in a row. MSP nudged out Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, which topped the list in 2023, to take the top spot last year. If this award seems familiar, MSP also topped the J.D. Power survey back in 2022.

Here are the top mega airports (those serving over 33 million passengers) in the North America, according to the 2025 J.D. Power survey:

  6. John F. Kennedy International Aiport/New York

This isn't the first time Minnesota's MSP has been singled out as being tops in the nation. Plus, earlier this year, MSP was singled out as the best airport in the country when it comes to flight disruptions. Or specifically, when it comes to minimizing those flight disruptions. And just last week, Delta Air Lines, the biggest carrier at MSP, was named the best on-time airline in the U.S. this summer.

And, don't forget, MSP was also named Best in North America for four straight years between 2016 and 2019, and also earned a spot on the ACI Director General’s Roll of Excellence in Airport Service Quality in 2020, MSP noted in a release.

Plus, MSP was rated as the Fourth-Best Regional Airport in North America in 2022, with only Houston, Denver, and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky ranking higher. And, MSP also ranked 9th on the list of Cleanest Airports in North America for 2021, according to the SkyTrax World Airport Awards, as well.

MSP is the 19th busiest airport in North America and served nearly 35 million passengers in 2023, up over 10 percent from 2022. It's the second largest hub for Delta Air Lines, as well as the hometown base for Sun Country Airlines. That's a lot of passengers making their way to our fair state, right?
