If you're looking for a new way to get your green on this St. Patrick's Day, one Minnesota brewery has just unveiled the most festive beer ever to celebrate all things Irish!

From parades and parties to races and concerts, the Land of 10,000 Lakes is going all out to celebrate the luck 'o the Irish again this year.  But if you're looking to put on your best green attire and raise a pint of something *other* than Guinness, this craft brewery here in the Bold North has just the thing.

Minnesota is a state that has an above-average population that is of Irish descent, but you don't have to be Irish to get in on the fun of St. Patrick's Day, right? But being Irish *is* fairly common in our state. According to U.S. Census data, about 11 percent of Minnesota's population says they have at least some Irish ancestry.  Given Minnesota’s current population of approximately 5.7 million, that means around 627,000 Minnesotans have Irish roots.

But, as I said, you don't *have* to be Irish to enjoy a pint of this new festive beer from Indeed Brewing Company. The craft brewery that was founded in Minneapolis back in   2012 just introduced the new Clover Shake Cream Ale, and if you like a certain festive shake a well-known fast food chain releases every spring for St. Patrick's Day, you'll like this brew as well.

Indeed describes its festive new brew like this:

This St. Patrick's Day treasure is better than a pot 'o gold! A frosty pint of Clover Shake Cream Ale (5.5% ABV) features a heavenly smooth vanilla-mint flavor and festive green color.

I tried a pint of Clover Shake Cream Ale the other day, and it *is* really minty and very festive. I'll be hoisting several more between now and St. Patrick's Day! If you want to try it, Indeed Brewing Company says you can find cans 'at the end of the rainbow' at retail stores throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, as well as on-tap at the Indeed Brewing Company taprooms in Minneapolis and Milwaukee.

And, if you're looking for more ways to celebrate St. Patty's Day, ExploreMinnesota.com, the state's tourism agency, has an entire section of festive St. Patrick's Day happenings going on across the North Star State, from Minneapolis and St. Paul to Moorhead, Spicer, Marshall, and more. Sláinte!
