Minnesota Distilleries Are Making Their Own Hand Sanitizer

With the recent closure of all restaurants and bars to the public, Vikre Distillery in Duluth is getting creative with the extra high-proof alcohol they have!

Because we produce the main ingredients in sanitizer in the distilling process, we are making our own sanitizing spray for our own use and we wanted to make some available to the public for those who need it.

Vikre isn't the only Distillery doing this either! Du Nord Craft Spirits, Norseman Distillery, Tattersall Distilling all in Minneapolis and J. Carver Distillery in Waconia are also making or are going to produce sanitizer according to Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. President of the Minnesota Distillers Guild and Co-Founder of Northfield based Distillery Loon Liquors, Mark Schiller, stated that the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau and the Federal Drug Administration gave the distilleries the approval to make the Sanitizer.
