Minnesota Has Two New Millionaires
Roseville, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two Minnesotans have stepped forward to claim one million-dollar Powerball prizes.
The State Lottery says Sobhi Elgharabawi of Maplewood was the person who purchased the lucky ticket for last Saturday night’s drawing that was sold by the Robbinsdale Food Market. He came to the State Lottery Headquarters in Roseville Thursday to collect on his good luck.
The other one million-dollar winner showed up at State Lottery headquarters today. Jean Davis from Waverley won the second place prize in the August 23rd Powerball drawing that resulted in a $758 million jackpot winner in Massachusetts. That was the second largest Powerball prize in the history of the multistate lottery game. The $1 million purchased by Davis came from a convenience store in Howard Lake the same day as the drawing.
