Roseville, MN (KROC AM News) - It’s a good thing a Minnesota man didn’t throw out some lottery tickets he bought last year.

Lawrence Keller just happened to catch a state lottery Facebook post about a soon-to-expire Lucky for Life ticket Sunday night. The Stillwater man decided to check some tickets he had left on his nightstand. Sure enough, one was the winner for the $25,000 a year for life prize that was set to expire Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The state lottery says Keller showed up Monday morning to claim his prize.

He decided to take the $390,000 cash option instead of receiving $25,000 a year for life.
