Minnesota Man Killed After Vehicle Crashes Into Power Pole

Ely, MN (KROC-AM News)- A man from northern Minnesota lost his life in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon.

The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the crash around 5:40 p.m. It occurred along a rural lake side road north of Ely. 

A news release indicates a pick-up was traveling east on Grant Mcmahan Blvd when it left the roadway, entered the north side ditch and collided with a power pole. The driver, identified as 27-year-old William Orion Lloyd Fearn of Ely was pronounced dead at the scene. 

There’s no word on whether or not alcohol was involved in the deadly crash. Fearn was the sole occupant of the pick-up, the news release says.
